Objective:
The Head of Analytics at HCCB directs a team of 30 Analysts & Data Scientists that use data, business, and statistical methods to drive business performance. 
•    To manage Routine Deliverables (200+), Ad-hoc Analysis, Insights, Data Science /Predictive Modelling, and some data requirements across functions using data from multiple transaction and reporting systems
•    Through Insights, help find growth levers and identify opportunities for optimization using various advanced analytical techniques
•    Facilitate the establishment and execution of the roadmap and vision for information delivery through the enterprise data lake, big data, BI & analytics, and data management

Job Responsibilities:
•    
Dive into complex business problems, providing data driven insights, and making recommendations that directly impact business
•    Use technical, analytical skills and tools to build predictive analytics and reporting capabilities that enable optimization of the business. (using statistics, data mining, and visualization techniques)
•    Automate processes by developing deep-dive tools, UIs, metrics, and dashboards to communicate insights to the business teams Analysis of historical data to identify trends and support decision making, including written and verbal presentation of results and recommendations
•    Lead a team of data architects and data engineers to direct, architect and deliver the solutions that fulfil the Business requirements and understand and build cutting edge capability of the team in this rapidly changing environment
•    Build scalable models, solutions, and tools to take HCCB to the next level
•    Ensure routines of day to day business reporting across functions (>200 reports sent by this team at various frequencies)
•    Predictive advanced analytics e.g.—Likely female attrition, retailer attrition
•    Enable and drive Revenue for the company through data driven insights and performance reporting:
A very critical role that understands drivers of revenue and uses data to provide insights and performance metrics to enable Revenue growth
In line with Business Plans. Examples: Impact of New Commercial Initiatives, Expansion Programs (HE, New Channels), Competitor Insights, Insights from Segmentation, Fillrate Analysis, Same Store Analysis etc,.
•    Enable and drive OI for the company through data driven insights:
Driving Business Impact projects across functions, by working closely with functional teams Such as RGM, Inventory Management, Working Capital Management, Price and Promotion analytics (DFR), Cost to Serve , Overtime, R&M Inventory Management, Spend Analytics Visibility & Insights, Freight Optimization etc.
•    Training/Capability building for service Oriented mindset: 
Build capability of team to enable use of advanced big data tools like SQL, R, Python, AI/ML etc,
Drive efficiency through automation and Business Intelligence
•    Enable digitization: Chatbots & PowerBI adoption
•    In addition to ensure routines of day to day business reporting, this includes more than 200 reports across functions shared by the team at various frequencies.

Geographical Scope:  India which could later expand for BIG countries
Reports To:        Head - Business Shared Services
Key Customers:    
Internal Customers: Senior Leadership team, Functional/Zonal/Cluster Leadership Teams across zones, functions and clusters, IT team, BIG team
External Customers: Vendors, IT Partners
 
Job Requirements: 
Qualifications:

•    BE, MBA, Degree in Math/Statistics/Engineering/Management, or other equivalent quantitative discipline is a plus
Experience:
•    15+ years of total experience in the area of data analytics, Service Management, Customer Relations and Team Management. At least 10+ years in core analytics roles
•    Experience in identifying opportunities for business improvement, and defining and measuring the success of those initiatives
•    A global perspective, prior experience in leading virtual teams for large multiyear, multi country deployment programs. Ability to work within a matrix management structure.
Functional Skills:
•    Strong business understanding of all functions (HR, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, Finance, Procurement ) in an FMCG environment 
•    Ability to perform large, complex, and business critical analyses/abstract problems that serve all functions 
•    Knowledge of Market share analysis, High Potential Outlet Identification for Premium portfolio, Cost to Serve Analysis, Price -Promotion analysis (DFR), New algorithms to improve various S&OP KPIs
•    Be a key influencer in strategy and contribute significantly to overall planning. Support all business planning process, both annual and LRP
•    Analysis of historical data to identify trends and support decision making
•    Predictive insights using statistics, data mining, and visualization techniques 
•    Expertise in Project management, Stakeholders Management, Program Management, Product Management, Account Management
•    Proven analytical and quantitative skills (including proficiency with Data tools & knowledge of SQL/Python/R and advance analytics techniques (AI/ML/NLP/NLG etc.)
•    Understanding of BI technologies and their application including database warehousing and dashboarding
•    Ability to lead and direct through thought leadership a team of analysts and data scientists 
Travel:   Currently Work from anywhere, however once situation is normal will involve travel to zones, plants for deeper business understanding
